Summer Foods that Improve Mouth Health
It is known that the food we eat influences our health,
including our oral health. If we eat a lot of sweets, we have to go to the
dentist more frequently. Luckily, there are plenty of foods that contribute to maintaining
healthier and whiter teeth, and summer helps us by providing many of them.

Milk and yogurt increase saliva secretion and contain
calcium, which protects the teeth and fights against mineral deficiencies. These
dairy products have low acidity, which means that they do not contribute to
dental erosion. In addition, they are low in sugar, which means fewer caries.
Fruits: apples, strawberries, citrus fruits contain vitamin
C, which is considered to be the "cement" that holds all the cells
together, so they contribute to the health of the gums. It has been
demonstrated that lack of vitamin C leads to the destruction of the collagen
network in the gums, making them more vulnerable to bacteria that cause
periodontal disease.
Vegetables: carrots, sweet potatoes, broccoli, celery are
vegetables that contain vitamin A, which is absolutely necessary for the
formation of dental enamel. In addition, these crispy vegetables help to clean
the teeth and stimulate the gums, making them healthier.
Green Tea: It contains polyphenols, antioxidant compounds
that prevent dental plaque, reduce the risk of dental caries and gum disease.
Green tea also contributes to solving the problem of bad breath. Nothing more
